Cobrita keeps your information on your phone, not on our servers. You don’t create an account, we don’t ask for your email, and we don’t sell or share your data. Here is all of it, in plain words.
What the app keeps, and where
What you write in Cobrita stays on your phone:
- Your name, to sign your messages, and how your clients can pay you, to put in the messages.
- Your clients: the name and number you pick from your contacts, how you greet them, their language, the price and the cleaning day.
- Your cleanings, the payments you write down and the messages you say you sent.
- Your trusted person, if you choose one.
We can’t see any of it. It isn’t on any server of ours, so we can’t sell it, share it or hand it to anyone.
What we never ask for
Cobrita doesn’t ask for an account, an email or a password. It never asks your age. It never asks for papers, ID or a Social Security number. It doesn’t use your location.
It has no ads, no tools that measure what you do in the app, and no tracking of any kind.
Your contacts
When you add a client, your phone lets you pick one number from your contacts. Cobrita gets only that name and that number. It doesn’t see the rest of your contacts, and it doesn’t ask for permission to.
Messages to your clients
Cobrita never sends anything on its own. It opens the messaging app you use with that client, with the message ready, and you send it. The message goes through that app or your phone company, under their own privacy rules. Cobrita writes down that you sent it, but it can’t see whether it arrived.
Your voice
Listen and “Oír en español” use the voices that come with your phone. Speak uses your phone’s own speech recognition, on the phone. What you say and what you hear isn’t sent anywhere.
When the app uses the internet
Cobrita works without the internet. It only connects to:
- Download the Spanish and English translators, once, on Wi-Fi. They come from Google. After that, translation happens on your phone: your messages never leave it.
- Download the list of organizations that help, from our website. That request carries nothing about you.
- Send crash reports, only if you turn them on (see the next part).
As with any connection, those servers see your phone’s internet address (IP). We send them nothing else.
Crash reports: your choice
They start off. If you turn them on in More options, each time the app crashes we send Sentry, a crash-reporting service, only what failed and where in the code, with the phone’s model, its system and Cobrita’s version. On iPhone, the report also carries the phone’s language.
It never carries names, phone numbers, amounts or messages, or anything that says who you are. You can turn them off at any time.
Notifications
Cleaning-day notifications are scheduled by your own phone. They don’t go through any server, and they show no names or amounts on the lock screen.
Phone backups
If your phone backs up to iCloud or Google, those backups can include Cobrita’s data, like your other apps’. That way you keep your records if you change phones. Apple or Google run those backups, and you control them in your phone’s settings.
If you buy Pro
When Pro can be bought, Apple or Google will take the payment, under their own rules. Before then, we will say here what information the service that checks purchases receives.
How to delete your data
Because everything is on your phone, you are in control. Deleting the app deletes everything it kept. If your phone has backups, delete those too in its settings.
This website
This website uses no cookies and has no analytics or ads. Our hosting service, Vercel, logs technical details of each visit, such as the IP address, for a short time, to keep the site working and safe. We don’t use them to find out who you are.
If you write to us
If you write to hello@pimil.dev, we use your address only to answer you. If you ask us to tell you when Cobrita launches (with this page’s “Notify me” button), we write to you once, when it launches. We don’t share or sell your address. If you want it deleted, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Children
Cobrita is for working adults. It isn’t made for children under 13.
Changes
If we change anything, we put it on this page with the new date.
